Ingredients
- 1 and 1/2 pounds of ground beef
- 1 onion
- 1 28oz can of chopped tomatoes
- 2 cups of water
- 3 cups of beef broth
- 1 can of tomato soup
- 4 chopped carrots
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tbsp of parsley
- 1/2 tsp of thyme
- Pepper (to taste)
- 8 tbsp of barley
Step-by-step Instructions
- Brown meat and onions. Drain well
- Combine all ingredients in a pot
- Simmer covered for at least 2 hours
- You can also combine all ingredients in a slow cooker and cook on MED for 4 hours
